led the Book Week Parade last week to celebrate the love of reading….
Last Thursday, our primary school community gathered under a beautiful sunny sky for our much-anticipated annual Book Week Parade. Excitement buzzed across the primary school as the children arrived in an array of imaginative, homemade costumes, bringing their favourite books to life. Some were actual works of art and very creative!
Classes assembled in all their costumed glory to parade around the green while singing our school’s Book Parade song, before filling the amphitheatre to showcase their costumes to the audience.
From Class 1 to Class 6, books came alive—featuring beloved characters from Storm Boy, Stick Man, Alice in Wonderland, Harry Potter, Bad Guys, the Wizard of Oz, Little House on the Prairie, Peter Pan, The Peach King , Hairy Maclary and the Pie Rats to name a few!
Our talented and creative primary teachers stole the show with their annual play—a clever, hilarious medley of We’re Going on a Bear Hunt and Each Peach Pear Plum. The performance kept parents and students thoroughly entertained from start to finish, making it a truly memorable celebration of reading.
