What is the role of the School Board of Directors

The School Board is empowered by the constitution to govern the business and legal functions of the School. The Board’s Primary Duty is to ensure that the School’s mission, aims and ethos are carried out and implemented. To determine strategic objectives and direction of the School. Provide oversight of legal compliance, risk management, policy setting and school finances. Select, employ, evaluate and support the Principal.

The Board comprises a balanced forum, whereas a group Board Members have a comprehensive mix of skills, experience and diverse representation to effectively fulfil the roles and responsibilities of the Board. In accordance with the constitution of the School, the Board will comprise of no less than 5 but no more than 10 Board Members. At least 3, but no more than 5 Directors will be elected by the Members of the Company and at least 2, but no more than 5 Directors will be appointed by the Board.
