Mia Mobbs | Class of 2001

A special piece of CBRSS history has been reinstated. Our lovely class 4 teacher, Mia, was the very first student to complete her entire schooling K-12 at CBRSS. On Mia’s last day of school in 2001, she planted a small Illawarra Flame tree, and a plaque was installed to commemorate the occasion.

The tree has since grown to great heights but over the years the plaque was moved and was thought to be lost. That is until recently when it was found and lovingly restored by our wonderful groundskeepers Gary and Sam. A surprise unveiling was organised to coincided with Mia’s 40th Birthday. The plaque has now been returned to its original home and can be found next to the walkway behind the hall.
