Students had an incredible experience at the recent overnight hike at Gibraltar World Heritage Park. They worked in small groups planning their own hike, carrying their own equipment, food and water over 30kms over 2 days, and navigated various routes in Gibraltar learning a lot with regard to teamwork and perseverance.
Students discovered beautiful landscapes which made the whole experience even more memorable. Adults were in radio range, if needed, which gave them the confidence to push their limits and truly enjoy the adventure.
This journey not only helped these students develop the necessary skills for their Qualifying Adventurous Journey in Kosciuszko later this year, it also brought them closer together as a group. It was an opportunity to disconnect from their usual routines, connect with nature and each other in a meaningful way.
Overall, they had a fun, educational, and unforgettable experience.
