What an incredible day we shared at this year’s Spring Fair! I am filled with gratitude and joy as I reflect on the event—a day that truly captured the heart and spirit of our school community. Together, we created something magical, and I want to take a moment to celebrate the wonderful success of this special occasion.
From the moment we gathered in the morning sun, there was an undeniable sense of warmth and connection. The air was filled with laughter, music, and the buzz of happy conversations. Our Kindy puppet show, always a favorite, enchanted audiences with its gentle storytelling, reminding us of the wonder and simplicity at the core of childhood. The students’ creativity also shone brightly in the songwriting competition, where original songs filled the air, reflecting the talent and joy of our young musicians.
The student art and work exhibition was truly inspiring. Walking through the displays, it was clear that our students’ hands and hearts have been hard at work, creating pieces that reflect their unique perspectives and developing skills. It was a joy to witness their pride in sharing these creations with family and friends.
The craft stall was a beautiful expression of our community’s artistic talents, with handmade treasures lovingly created by students, staff, and parents alike. Meanwhile, the food stalls offered delicious homemade treats, bringing people together over shared meals—a true celebration of community and nourishment. The garland-making corner added a delightful touch of Spring, with children and adults alike weaving fresh flowers into beautiful crowns, bringing the joy of nature into our celebrations.
Of course, the day wouldn’t have been complete without our traditional Maypole dance. Watching our Class 4 students weave the ribbons together (twice) with such grace and joy was a highlight of the fair, symbolising the harmony and unity that lies at the heart of our school. A new tradition was also created with C12 unwinding the maypole at the conclusion of the day’s activities along with a closing verse.
We are also incredibly thankful to everyone who supported the raffle, whose generous contributions have helped raise funds for important school projects. These efforts not only support our school but also bring us together in shared purpose, working towards a brighter future for our children.
At the core of the Spring Fair was the music—whether it was the beautiful songs from our students, the melodies drifting from the stalls, or the spontaneous sing-alongs that erupted throughout the day. Music is a powerful force that binds us together, and it was wonderful to see it at the centre of our celebration.
I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to every single person who contributed to the success of this event: our P&F Committee and Class Coordinators, who worked tirelessly behind the scenes; the staff who gave their time and energy to ensure everything ran smoothly; our students, whose enthusiasm and creativity brought the day to life; and of course, to all the parents and community members who offered their support in so many ways. Your collaboration and generosity have once again shown what a remarkable community we are a part of.
As we reflect on this Spring Fair, we are reminded of the strength and beauty of coming together. It is in these moments—of shared creativity, laughter, and connection—that the true spirit of our school shines brightest.
