Cape Byron Rudolf Steiner School is a vibrant and progressive K–12 school guided by the educational principles by Rudolf Steiner. Our beautiful rural campus spans 4.5 hectares with native and vegetable gardens throughout.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced educational leader who has a personal commitment to embrace Steiner Education. The role of Primary School Coordinator (1-6) holds the day‑to‑day running of the Primary School: staffing matters, timetables, resource management, coordinating relief, events, behaviour processes and ensure family communications are coordinated with care.

We’re looking for a team leader who is confident, organised, and nurturing, an educator who brings creativity, imagination, and a deep love of learning. The successful applicant will embrace Steiner education and contribute positively to a warm, collaborative faculty environment. The successful candidate will work closely with the Primary School faculty to deliver inspired, creative, academic, and nurturing education for our students. Experience in Steiner education is highly desirable.

Outdoor Camps Leader

We are seeking a Camps Leader who is an adventurous go-getter to help our students learn and grow in a safe, fun and natural environment. Someone who is passionate about and has a love of all things outdoors. Our intention with our Camps program is to send our students home with lasting memories, a strengthened sense of self and community, and a greater connection to the natural world.

The successful applicant will be leading cultural and adventurous activities which include exploring the Indigenous Culture of Kakadu and surrounding areas of the Northern Territory, horse riding and camping in Bingara, camping in Kosciusko, exploring the museums, art galleries, theatres and universities of Melbourne, just to name a few. These wonderful experiences deliver memorable and meaningful experiences for students at CBRSS. You’ll also lead as a mentor and role model for our students and wider community.

Essential Criteria:

  • NESA Registration / PDHPE Teacher
  • Outdoor Education Qualifications
  • Experience working with young adults in a leadership role
  • First Aid Response in an Education and Care Setting
  • CPR
  • Bronze Medallion, Surf Rescue Certificate or equivalent
  • NSW Working with Children Check
