Enrolling at our school
At Cape Byron Rudolf Steiner School our aim is to provide a nurturing, creative and academic education, inspired by the indications of Rudolf Steiner, for a healthy social life and the developing human being.
If you hold these values and would like to enrol at our school, we accept applications throughout the year, starting at Kindergarten (the year your child turns 6).
We are a single stream school (one class per year level) with a typical class size of 28.

Before enrolling, we ask families to review information about our school, and to gain an understanding of the unique nature of our Steiner education offered, in order to support the School’s ethos.

Tours
We hold school tours throughout the year where you can look around our beautiful grounds, learn about the unique nature of our education and ask any questions you may have. Tours are held by our Director of Primary School, Director of High School or our Principal.
If you are unable to get to one of our in school tours, we also have a virtual tour, available from the home page of our website.
Register
To register at our school for enrolment, you must complete an Intention to Enrol Form, and pay the registration fee.

Enrolment Process
A summary of the enrolment process is outlined below, full details of the process can be viewed by downloading the following documents.
Join the waiting list– Lodge an Intention to Enrol form (Tab above*) along with required documentation and pay the non-refundable registration Fee of $110 for your first child and $55 for siblings. It is very important that you ensure we always have your current contact details. If we cannot reach you we will move on to the next person on the list.
Interviews – For Class 1 to 12 an interview will be arranged if/when a place becomes available. For Kindergarten you will be contacted via email in Term 2 the year before they would be due to start and invited to join our Kindergarten enrolment process.
If a place is offered and accepted – an enrolment contract is completed and the enrolment fee of $550 for the first child and $200 for siblings is paid.
Student withdrawal
For a student to be withdrawn from our School once the contract must be ended by submitting a signed online Student Withdrawal Form. One term’s notice is required. If no such notification is received one term’s fees will be charged.
On the withdrawal form, Parents/Guardians must provide the school or destination (such as TAFE or a workplace) that the student will be attending. If no school or destination is provided the School will complete a Destination Unknown Notification form and submit it to NESA.
All students must complete Year 10, or be 17 years old before they can leave school. After Year 10 and until the age of 17, students must be:
- in school, or registered for home schooling OR
- in approved education or training OR
- in full-time, paid employment (average 25 hours/week) OR
- in a combination of these three.
Intention to Enrol Form
You can start your application to enrol at the school here. Use the button below to start a new Intention to Enrol application. This form will let you create and account using your email address to login so you can work through the form at your own pace and even finish it at another time if you need to gather more information. When you are finished you will be prompted to make a secure payment for you application fee. After this is complete our enrolments staff will process your application and may contact you if they require further information.
