“To truly know the world, look deeply within your own being; to truly know yourself take real interest in the world”
– Rudolf Steiner
Class 9 embarked on an epic bus journey to The Snowy Mountains. The camp was the most physically challenging camp to date as they wrangled mountain bikes, walked 18km to the highest peak in Australia, Mount Kosciusko, did a two night hiking trip as part of the Duke of Edinburgh Adventurous journey programme and finished off the week with some river sledding and abseiling near the wall of the Jindabyne dam.
Class 9 experienced some physical challenges and independence as they planned and undertook the adventurous journey without teacher intervention. Teachers followed a couple of kilometres behind with walkie talkie communication. This is the perfect camp for the Class 9 teen who is craving independence and risk taking adventure.
