To foster a love of reading and nurture strong connections, Mia’s Class 5 and Ruby’s Class 2 students have launched a buddy reading program.
At the beginning of term, each Class 5 student carefully selected a picture book from the school library to read to their younger buddy, embracing the joy of storytelling and the shared experience of literature.
This initiative not only strengthens their reading skills but also cultivates a sense of community and mutual support.
Some Class 2 students, inspired by their older peers, delighted in reading the book back to them, demonstrating the reciprocal nature of learning and the bonds formed through this collaborative effort.
