On the last day of Term 3, students from Year 12 celebrated their last ever day of schooling in a creative, humorous and respectful way. Gone are the days of making the school and staff ‘mucked up’ by throwing water bombs of other such things.
Our students know how to leave well. There were some creative room changes (one room filled with balloons and another with plants) and a very funny assembly organised by the Yr 12 students. In the assembly, staff were put in pairs to battle out challenges for their imaginary country in an olympics. Some performed strongly in the ‘spell your name in Eurythmy actions’ and ‘draw as many Steiner icons you can think of’ while others excelled in the spelling and intellectual challenges. Tom and Eva were winners in the movement section while Rachel Knight was a clear first in being able to recite all the Steiner verses.
The morning ended with the class performing a rap version of their verse and Rachel H giving the students some special T Shirts with the slogan ‘I’m So Steiner’ on the front.
The photos you can see are the students painting their 2016 mural of a tiger – signifying their year of the tiger birthdates. It is a beautiful legacy of a wonderful class who will be very missed by all of our staff and students.
