Ocean Shores Art Expo

Each year Cape Byron Steiner School enters many artworks into the Schools Section of the Ocean Shores Art Expo. This Exhibition offers a unique opportunity to showcase our art from our Primary and High School to a wider public. The genres are in painting, drawing, printmaking, photography and sculpture.
The staff at Ocean Shores Art Expo are always so appreciative of our participation and remarking that the level of art from our school is extremely high if not the best of all schools participating.
This year, the most visibly recognized art work was a self portrait in willow charcoal and white pastel done in the Drawing Elective by Thomas Pierce Year 9 which gathered tremendous accolades from the visiting public. It won him First Prize in the category of Drawing entered by many High Schools in the area. There were Second prizes and a host of Highly Commended awards from different categories by our students from the Primary and High School.
Congratulations to all our Teachers and participating students especially Thomas Pierce.
