My name is Oliver Bora. I’m a Year 11 student at Shearwater with a passion for sustainable agriculture.
Over the last year I’ve been hatching plans for an organic free-range egg business that I will operate as part of the Shearwater Farm. I’ve been working hard, with farming and business mentors, as well as the School community, to set up Oliver’s Hens.
Getting started in farming is an expensive business and I need your help to get Oliver’s Hens off the ground. Today I launched a crowdfunding campaign where you can donate or pre-order my eggs to help me cover my start-up costs.
I believe that young farmers are the future of a sustainable food system and I hope that having my farm at the School will inspire other students to consider a career in agriculture, too.
Please visit my crowdfunding page to find out all about Oliver’s Hens, and share it with your friends and family. I need all the help I can get to spread the word:
