Class Two children had their first school camp experience with a sleepover on the oval next to the COLA. We pitched tents after school on Friday and in the early evening the children and I went to night class to make thank you cards. After that we explored the grounds to meet some of the local wildlife. We discovered that there are a lot of cane toads that gather in the drain outside the movement room. In the meantime the parents had rigged up a camp kitchen in the COLA and had prepared a sumptuous shared meal. Everyone had a reasonable night’s sleep and there were lots of smiles and happy faces after breakfast when the children sang songs and gave their special card to their parent.
