Bulletin 150327

Cape Byron Rudolf Steiner School Weekly Bulletin.

TERM 1 WEEK 9  2015
Now to myself belonging
I radiate my inner light
Within the darkened realms of space and time;
To sleep inclines the natural Being.
The depths of Soul-life must awaken
And waking, carry sun-filled glowing
To chilly winter’s flooding.
Rudolf Steiner (translation; Cotterell)

From The Deputy Principals

At this moment Nerrida is on her journey to the Goetheanum in Dornach, Switzerland. Nerrida is one of only two Australian presenters at the International Conference: Transitions in Childhood from Birth to 14 Years: Significance, Challenges, Consequences. It is a great honour for Nerrida to be selected to present and reflects her extensive experience as a Steiner educator. We wish her well on her journey and we know she will make our school proud. In her absence we will manage the school as is usual.
Best wishes,
Katie & Teera
The College of Teachers gathered for a workshop to hand craft a soft toy magnetic fishing game and wooden trucks with racing cars. It was a delightful experience working together for a good cause.

Once completed these will be delivered to children in Vietnam when Rachel Knight takes a group of 20 senior students on an excursion to Vietnam in the coming weeks

Taking Charge Workshop  9-12 April
Life Story Work and Lifelong Learning

The workshop will use participants’ life stories to explore and illustrate these different learning paths. The course is developed on Coenraad van Houten’s research on adult learning (Awakening the Will) and Gudrun Burkhard’s approach to biography work (Taking Charge). Following the theme of learning allows for a deeper understanding of our Life Journey and gaining insights into the journey ahead of us.
The course is also a practical and life-related introduction into Anthroposophy.
