From The Principal

Hello everyone,The start of a new term is always exciting as the school bursts into life with teachers and students all happy to be back working and learning together. We are currently working with the Embedding Excellence Program, an AIS initiative aimed at helping us to evaluate our performance and then make plans for improvement across the school.  The first step in this process is to work with the Vision, Mission and Values of the school.  Our teaching staff participated in a workshop on the first day of term and we are now inviting parents to join in the process of developing a Vision, Mission and Values statement which accurately reflects who we are now as a school and what we aspire to be.  Please see the invitation attached in this bulletin.  I encourage you to join us and be a part of this process.

As a further part of this program, we will be surveying teachers, support staff, some year levels of students, and the parent community.  Emails will be sent out next Monday with the link to the survey, please do take the time to complete the survey and share your thoughts and ideas about our school.

INVITATION
The CBRSS Embedding Excellence team would like to invite you to participate in a workshop to revisit, re imagine and redevelop Cape Byron Rudolf Steiner School’s Mission, Vision & Values. Our original Mission, Vision and Values were developed when we were a pioneering school.  The school has grown and changed and so has our community.  It is time for us to come together and think about why we are here and what is our shared vision for the school into the future.

In this workshop we will be bringing the school community together to gain a clear picture of where we are now as a school and where we would like to be in the future.  This will then help us create a plan for continuous whole school development & improvement.

Date:  Wednesday, 29th July, 2015
Time: 9am – 12noon
Where: Movement Room

If you are interested in being part of this workshop pls RSVP to the office by Monday, 27th July as places are limited.

Please contact Sarah Sykes directly at sarahsykes367@gmail.com
We are also looking outside the immediate CBRSS community for prizes, but as this needs to be done in co-ordinated way, request that you please do not approach outside parties for donations without first checking with Sarah (although any suggestions for contacts again much appreciated).
